Going on a picnic can be romantic and fun, especially in the Spring and Summer. You can go to the beach or just to a local park to have lunch with friends or on a date.
Well, there is an experience that will allow you to make having a picnic even more interesting in Portland, Maine, and multiple locations in Massachusetts: Downtown Boston, Back Bay, and Concord.
Amazingco is putting on an all-inclusive mystery picnic for two. That's right, you and someone else can go on a scavenger hunt through the city for an ultimate picnic experience.
How It Works
You have to schedule the time when you'd want to have your picnic adventure start (between 10 am and 12 pm). When your day and time come, you will be told where to go and will start off by finding a picnic basket.
However, your picnic basket will be empty, which means you need to go hunt for your food. You will be texted clues and riddles to help you fill up your picnic basket with traditional picnic food and one surprise snack from a gourmet provider.
Therefore, you will be exploring the area and get to sightsee prior to your final secret picnic destination. It should take about 3 to 4 hours depending on how fast you choose to walk around the city.
Luckily, if you have any dietary restrictions, you can tell them in advance and you can be provided with gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian options.
This sounds like an easy stress-free date, or even a fun day out with a friend to go out explore before having some food.
There are two different ticket options, one includes a bottle of wine, which can always make a picnic more interesting.
If you are looking for a fun scavenger hunt date idea or even just looking to explore the area, this self-guided adventure is occurring daily through the end of the year.
