Sadly, New Hampshire is losing a longtime favorite store

After 107 years in business, Alie Jewelers at 460 Central Avenue in Dover is closing for good.

The owners are looking forward to retiring but feel bittersweet about closing the store according to a Facebook post announcing the closure.

They also expressed their gratitude to everyone in Dover.

Their Portsmouth location will continue to be open in Market Square, but their Dover location is closing for good in early 2022.

Good Time for a Jewelry Sale

Now with the holidays upon us and everyone scrambling to find that perfect gift, you can get a great deal on some jewelry from Alie Jewelers of Dover's final sale.  They are posting going out of business sales such as 70 percent off and more, according to their Facebook page.

The sale will continue until their inventory sells out so hop on over there for a good selection before someone grabs up all the good deals.

No More Repair Work

Alie was a go-to for some Dover residents to have watches and jewelry repaired.  They are not taking in any more repair work and if you have dropped something off to be repaired and this post has jogged your recollection of it, head over there.

The comments on the Alie Jewelers Facebook page makes you understand how much the Dover community will miss the store.

Robert Carrier posts on the Facebook comments section “we are losing an icon.”

Rae Ann Smith writes “you will be missed.”

I wish them much happiness in their retirement.
