This is your last year to explore, get lost, and celebrate the season in New England's grandest Christmas experience in the region, complete with a life-size Elf on the Shelf and other fun characters.

Have you ever been to this extensive Christmas experience in New England, or even heard of it?  It's everything Christmas with a bit of magic all its own.  It's called The Christmas Place, and it's been a seasonal holiday tradition since 1982.  But here we are.  After 40 years, the family who loves catering to all things Christmas and seeing families pour in year after year with smiles is retiring.

According to its website, The Christmas Place is filled with fun, family activities, and festive Christmas displays.  Located in Abington, Massachusetts, just south of Boston, you can find plenty of delicious sweets like 30+ flavors of homemade fudge, while enjoying an absolutely incredible train display spanning more than 300 square feet with hundreds of Playmobil toys.

From skiers to dinosaurs, hockey players to space, construction workers to Egypt, and even The Ghostbusters and Scooby Doo, it's literally the largest model train display in New England.

At this time, we would like to announce that we are retiring. This Christmas Season 2022 will be our last.  We are truly overwhelmed with the outpouring of support and congratulations from so many of you. We never expected it. We are filled with joy that the Christmas Place was such a part of your family traditions, and we are glad to have shared them.  We would like to thank you for your loyalty, support and business for the last 41 years. It has been our pleasure to be a part of your life and we are glad that the Christmas Place is a fond part of many of your memories.
We would like to especially thank our many employees throughout the years, many who have become family. We have so much appreciation for you all and you will be greatly missed.  At this time, we are planning on just enjoying our final Christmas season with our customers, our friends and our family. There are currently no plans or talks in place for the future of the business or the property.  Rick & Karen.

The end of an era, for sure.

There is a dancing penguin band, enormous inflatables celebrating the Christmas season, Christmas trees and decorations everywhere, and photos with Santa.  Don't forget the gingerbread man cookies in the bakery and cafe.  And of course, it's all about shopping for anything and everything you can ever imagine for Christmas, from thousands of decorations to collectibles and gifts.
