The cheerleaders at Dover High School came home with quite the accomplishment.

This year, for many athletes, it's been really tough to get together for practices, games and tournaments, but the Dover High cheerleaders made it happen. Not only did they go undefeated this season, but they just won the title of New Hampshire Division 1 State Champions!

However, instead of an in-person competition, the Dover High cheerleaders had to submit a video performance for judging.

Here's an excerpt from a Facebook post from Dover High School Cheerleading:

It’s hard to put into words exactly how we are feeling. It has been a crazy season with many uncertainties. But with lots of safety precautions and rules we strictly followed- we were able to complete our fall 2020 season. This season was unlike no other. Every day - we were grateful and thankful to be together and continued to work hard and set goals. We never took being together and having the opportunity to practice & compete for granted and cherished every moment which is what made this season so special. This team was not letting Covid stop them. They chose to rise up- and that’s EXACTLY what they did this season. DVC 2020 went undefeated- and ended their season with the amazing title of NH Division 1 State Champions! We are so proud of all their accomplishments- Especially their dedication to their team and striving to do better each and every competition.
