A brand-new festival is coming to Southern Maine, and it sounds like it will fit right in.

This new event is called the Maine Autumn Fest, and will be held on Saturday, October 21, in Kennebunkport. The event will run from 11am to 3pm.

This exciting new festival will be taking the very best of what Maine has to offer during the fall season and celebrating it in one of the most picturesque regions of the state.

The festival will feature many local artisans, makers, breweries, musicians, and restaurants. It will be a terrific way for Mainers and tourists alike to experience some of the best local products from the region. And you know many of those products will have quite an autumn theme to them. Maine's own Don Campbell Band is also scheduled to play, as well as musicians and artists from across the country.

The Maine Autumn Festival is being hosted by the Kennebunkport Resort Collection. The award-winning company features numerous resorts, hotels, and restaurants in Kennebunkport. It's always cool to see a group like this giving back to the community and developing another way to feature more local business.

The group is hoping this is just the first of many years to come for the brand-new festival. It's certainly being held in an ideal spot, considering the success the town has had with its Christmas Prelude.

We wish them the best of luck. It will be great to see this continue to grow and continue to highlight the many creative and wonderful local people and businesses.
