There's no telling what exactly possessed John Mayer to say this, or even what ties, love, or obsession (if any) he has with Nashua, New Hampshire, but John proved that for whatever reason, the 603 holds a place near and dear to his heart.

Yesterday, the below meme of a picture of a couple in an outdoor pool or hot tub (it's tough to tell from the picture) overlooking a gorgeous village was posted on the Instagram page of @grapejuiceboys:

Now, and this is no knock against Worcester, Massachusetts -- but that is most definitely not a village in Worcester. Let's be real -- that's not even a village in the United States, let alone North America.

Not one to be out-done by some Instagram page that's known for posting funny memes, John Mayer decided to step in and drop a comment on the picture that literally sent shockwaves through Granite Staters -- really for no other reason than of all the places in the world, John not only referenced New Hampshire, but a specific location in a specific town in New Hampshire!

HOW John knows about the Pheasant Lane Mall specifically is a complete question mark. It's possible that back in the day before he blew up huge, he played the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Mass, took a wrong turn on Route 3 and ended up in Nashua, and decided to hit up Build-a-Bear to make a custom stuffy for someone special.

Regardless of how or why John mentioned the Pheasant Lane Mall, the Twitter account for the mall itself was thriving and living its best life once they caught wind of the mention.

The only ties John has to New Hampshire that can be found is his 2013 performance at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford. Other than that, there seems to be no link to the 603 for him, unless he ended up visiting Nashua while he was a student at Berklee in Boston back in late 90s. Regardless, for whatever reason, The Gate City resonates with John, further proving that celebrities know that New England is the best region in the country.
