Iconic New England Restaurant Up for Sale for a Cool $14 Million

A well-known restaurant in Cape Cod that many New Englanders call their favorite has been put up for sale. The price being asked for the restaurant and building is a cool $14 million dollars. Oh my...
The Lobster Pot, located right in the heart of Provincetown, is officially for sale. According to Boston.com, the current chef and owner Tim McNulty is looking to offload the ownership. However, McNulty did tell the online magazine that he is willing to even stay working in the kitchen if that's what the new owners want. Talk about dedication to your restaurant.
The official listing of the restaurant can be found on Premier Commercial's website. The property includes the nearly 8,500 square foot building, the restaurant, the signage, all the kitchen and dining room equipment, and most importantly, the brand, which dates back to 1979.
McNulty's family originally opened the restaurant some 40+ years ago. He told Boston.com that he, along with many family members, have been working in the building ever since.
The Lobster Pot is an absolute institution. New Englanders and tourists from across the globe have ventured through its doors. The two-story restaurant is a perfect location to enjoy local fare, while scoping out the beautiful sites of Cape Cod. Plus, there's an amazing deck that overlooks the bay.
Will new owners be taking over soon? That's a difficult question to answer. The $14 million price tag will probably keep many suiters at away. But, this iconic institution will be too much for someone to pass up, and that will begin a new chapter in the incredible legacy of The Lobster Pot.
