The Official 2025 Maine Fair & Festival Schedule is Here
One of the best things about summer in Maine are the amazing fairs and festivals the state hosts.
No matter where you are in the state, you aren't more than a half-hour drive from one of New England's premiere agricultural fairs. In fact, those living in Central and Southern Maine often have several fairs a short distance away.
For example, here in the Augusta area, we have the Windsor Fair, the Monmouth Fair, the Clinton Lions Fair, the Skowhegan State Fair, the Topsham Fair, and the Farmington Fair all less than an hour's drive away.
Maine has a long history of agricultural fairs. The Skowhegan State Fair, which has been going on since 1819, is one of the oldest fairs in the entire country. And, while world events, like wars and pandemics, affected other fairs, the Skowhegan State Fair has happened every year.
In addition to about two dozen great agricultural fairs, Maine also has some very unique festivals. Not surprisingly, most of these festivals revolve around a particular kind of food. Lobsters, blueberries, clams, and Moxie, for example.
