Nothing beats loading the kiddos into the car and heading out to experience a classic Maine Christmas Light show. It's a must-see for us northerners during the holiday season!

For many, sitting in the car and witnessing the lights twinkle and synchronize with the music has become a holiday tradition.

Unfortunately, we bring you sad news this year. The Beans Corner Lights, known for their spectacular show, have announced on their Facebook page that they will not be able to dazzle us this holiday season.

The Daigle family posted that they are currently going through some changes, making it impossible to stage the lights this year. Despite this setback, they did express their hope to return in the future. The Beans Corner Light family in Jay, Maine, have put on remarkable light shows at their home on State Route 133, outfitting the property with more than 45,000 lights, according to Maine Mag. Brian and Nevada Daigle’s family have put on an incredible experience for all of us year after year. We are sad we'll be unable to experience their magic this year, but send them good luck in hopes they will return again!

However, do not fear. I do have a list for you of other holiday light shows set to dazzle and sparkle you with all of the holiday magic!

Top Picks to Experience Holiday Magic in Maine

According to The Maine Mag, Garden's Aglow at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, named one of Maine's top attractions is straight out of a Harry Potter-style land. When they say, "Aglow", they mean it. This event is filled with whimsy and wonder and gardens aplenty.

Another fitting holiday light spectacle are the Northern Lights at L.L.Bean in Freeport. I recently attended their tree lighting with my family, and it was spectacular. The entire promenade of trees are filled with twinkle lights as you walk through the winter wonderland.

Here's another option I think you will thoroughly enjoy! It's the Winter Wonderland at Augusta West Kampground in Winthrop, Maine. This is pretty sweet, because you can either walk or drive through the light-up wonderland to take in the magic however you'd like!

Wherever you plan to go, I am confident that Maine will be LIT this year, since we are all pretty hungry for the holidays and all the magic it brings.
