Going To The Chapel? New Bridal Boutique Opening in Hallowell, Maine
Whether you’re saying “I do” soon, shopping for prom, or like me, trying to find something for big fancy events, this new spot is going to make your wedding and fancy dreams come true!
Who made this all happen?
The lady behind the bridal magic? Janie Maddocks.
According to the KJ, after Janie had a hard time trying to find the perfect wedding dress for herself, not to mention watching her daughters face similar hardships finding dresses, she thought, she should create a place where everyone can feel fabulous.
And just like that, the idea for Lady J's came to fruition!

Now, Lady J's is almost ready to open its doors to all the love birds in Central Maine and beyond! As per the article, they are set to open on February 1st, so make sure to add a reminder in your Google calendar!
Since she signed the lease to this beautiful downtown shop on 89 Water Street, Janie's husband, Jason, has been hard at work for the past three weeks, renovating and remodeling the place, as per the article.
While Jason was doing that, Janie has been hard at work adding gorgeous dresses to the display windows!
And this isn't just about wedding dresses, even though she has the pick of the litter for you. It's a full-on event planning experience.
Lady J's is sitting pretty on the corner of Winthrop and Water Streets in downtown Hallowell.
What will Lady J offer us Maine shoppers?
They'll have everything from wedding dresses to gowns, tuxedos, prom dresses, mother-of-the-bride dresses, shoes jewelry, and so much more. And the best part is that you'll get a personalized experience with a consultant who wants to help you look and feel absolutely stunning.

Do we have to call ahead or can we just walk in?
It's walk-in friendly, no appointment is needed! Unless you are coming in on a Sunday, according to the KJ.
And I'm not finished yet, this place is all about community,—solidarity, and making people feel beautiful. As per the post Janie is partnering up with local businesses like flower shops to help you with your other wedding needs as well!
This is like a local wedding dream team!
Since it's fancy, is it expensive?
Not only will this be affordable but they also want to make sure everyone feels special!
See you there soon, brides, grooms, and everyone who’s ever wanted to look stunning for your fancy special event!
