A new food truck is coming to Portland this summer from the teams behind Terlingua, Terlingua Outpost, and Ocotillo. The new project, called Terlingua Side Car, will be set up on Washington Avenue in the outdoor seating area in front of Oxbow Brewing Company and Hardshore Distilling Company.

A Summer Pop-Up on Washington Ave

The food truck is expected to open in June and operate through the end of October. It will be open Thursday through Sunday and focus on simple street food and summer snacks.

According to the draft menu, Side Car plans to serve street tacos, a 7-layer dip with tortilla chips, and frozen fruit pops. One taco option will feature smoked pork carnitas topped with cotija from Winter Hill Farm, onions, spicy taco sauce, and cilantro. Another option will include local mushrooms with refried beans, crispy potato, cilantro, and salsa matcha.

Why the Location Makes Sense

The new truck adds another food option to Portland’s busy Washington Avenue area and gives people another place to grab tacos and drinks during the summer months.

Washington Avenue already has a strong food and brewery crowd, and being set up outside Oxbow and Hardshore gives Side Car built-in foot traffic throughout the summer. The casual taco menu also fits well with the outdoor brewery atmosphere and the neighborhood’s overall vibe.
