Going to school in 2025 is much more different than it was for those of us in high school in say, the early 2000s.

I was one of the lucky ones that had a cell phone. I say lucky ones because they certainly weren’t as "needed" as they are now.

They also weren’t nearly as advanced. Back then, cell phones were mainly used for calling, texting, and playing very simple games like “snake.”

But now, that smart phones have taken over, I'd wager over 90% of our young generation have one for one reason or another.

Big Changes Ring in for New Hampshire Schools

Big changes headed to the state of New Hampshire as far as cell phones are concerned, a new law banning cell phones used during school hours is taking effect, according to NHPR.

As per the post, Governor Kelly Ayotte signed off on a “bell-to-bell" ban for students.

This means that from the moment the kids get to school until when they head home, phones are directed to be off limits. Even when students are at lunch.

As per the article, students can still use their phone before and after school and if a child needs it during school hours for special education or things like glucose monitoring, they’re will be special expectations.

Schools like Stevens High in Claremont and Salem High School already have a similar rule in place but with this new law, it will be standards across the state.

We don’t see an official start date as of yet, but schools must start working with the parents and teachers to set their own policies.

We don't have an official start date of the ban, but we do know teachers are likely to support this due to a survey showing 83% support, as per the article.

One things for sure, the students aren't like to support it by 83%.

What do you think? Should this have been done sooner? Or not at all?
