Johnny Damon Surprises Fans At The Savannah Bananas Game at Fenway Park
The Savanah Bananas played two sold out games at Boston's iconic Fenway Park. The crowd went nuts when former Red Sox outfielder Johnny Damon walked out of the dugout dressed in a Savanah Bananas uniform, ready to play ball.

Johnny Damon played for the Boston Red Sox for four seasons from 2002 to 2005. He was a crowd favorite until he ended up going to the New York Yankees in 2006, signing a four-year contract after being offered only a three-year contract by the Red Sox. They held firm in that decision and Damon went to "the dark side" with $52 million in his pocket.
And the Crowd Goes Wild
The Savanah Bananas don't do anything small. It's like watching a circus during a baseball game that breaks all the rules. However, it is extremely entertaining, being more show than it is baseball.
An announcer with a powerful voice introduces special guest players during the game who come out on the field and take their position as the show continues.
The roar from the sold-out crowd at Fenway was deafening, as Damon made his entrance, coming out of the dugout he had run out of to take the field for hundreds of times.
Johnny Damon and the Dancing Umpire
Vincent Chapman is better known to Savanah Bananas crowds as "The Dancing Umpire." He has been umpiring for years and would break out in dance at music being played at Little League games. The Savanah Bananas saw what he did and it was just what they were looking for.
Chapman had to get a selfie with Damon, because who wouldn't want one with Damon at Fenway Park?
I really missed out on this one, but the Savanah Bananas will be back around New England, I'm sure, after coming to Hadlock Field and Fenway Park.
