There's something pretty exciting about a big-time chef or celebrity shining a spotlight on the local places we love.

So when someone like chef Andrew Zimmern, a guy who's traveled the world eating delicious street food in Bangkok, China, or the seafood in Sydney, Australia, there's an extra weight to him calling out a particular place.

It's even more awesome when he's pointing out his favorite places to get lobster rolls, and multiple Maine places make the list.

Where is the best lobster roll in Maine?

Look. Everyone's going to have their own favorite restaurant to get lobster rolls, and there are a bunch of great ones in Maine. Seriously, so many really good options to try.

Zimmern even recently listed about 20 worthy spots to get the delicious seafood meal, including locations in Cape Elizabeth, Scarborough, and Portland.

Yet, there were two on his recent list that he said "are in my top five for sure."

Andrew Zimmern recommends Red's Eats in Wiscasset, Maine

The Wiscasset staple with the long lines, Red's Eats, is one of Zimmern's favorites. He said on his website that "the reward is a roll that's both abundant and delicious. And butter-drenched."

The family-run Route 1 restaurant has been around for decades, and even has had its fair share of celebrities stop by for something to eat, including Tom Cruise.

Daily Meal and CBS News, among others, have also noted Red's as one of the best places to get a lobster roll.

Andrew Zimmern recommends McLoons Lobster Shack in South Thomaston, Maine

Zimmern's other top recommendation of his favorite lobster roll comes from McLoons Lobster Shack in South Thomaston.

On his website, he says that the "lobster rolls are generous and absurdly good," while also mentioning the amazing location with its picnic tables looking out over the harbor. Lunch and a view!

Food & Wine and even GQ note McLoons as one of the best spots to get a lobster roll.
