Did Maine’s Biggest Pumpkin of 2025 Crack the All-Time Top 10?
Once again, a massive pumpkin was crowned the biggest beast of the beasts at the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest.
According to a Facebook post from the event, the 2025 winner was grown by Elroy Morgan, repping a pumpkin at 1624.5 pounds.
When you look at that monster, you might just be wondering where it stacks up against the largest Maine pumpkins of all time. Did it make the cut?
The Biggest Pumpkin in Maine for 2025
While Morgan grew a giant 1624.5-pound pumpkin that earned him a 2025 victory at the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest, it unfortunately didn't land a spot on the top 10 largest pumpkins in Maine.
It happens to be just a few hundred pounds short of the No. 10 spot, which, surprise, surprise, is currently held by another Morgan pumpkin.
That whopping fruit was 1870.5 pounds and was grown in 2021.
Still, 2025’s showing wasn’t short on excitement.
The Maine Pumpkin Growers Organization shared some other records from the pumpkin event, including another one for Morgan, who broke his own state record for the longest gourd, with his newest one coming in at 151.5 inches.
The group also noted that this record is the No. 2 longest gourd in the world for 2025. Not too shabby.
There's something really fun about seeing these world-class fruits, so let's take a look at the top 10 Maine pumpkins in Maine to see just how massive they've gotten.
