Lucky Maine Lottery Spot: Same Lebanon Store That Sold $1.35 Billion Ticket Strikes Again with $1 Million Win
Maybe it's time to take a trip to Lebanon for a lottery ticket?
The small Maine town right near the border of New Hampshire was put in the spotlight in 2023 when a massive $1.35 billion winning ticket was sold at Hometown Gas & Grill.
Over a year later, that same exact location sold another big win for one lucky person.
According to a press release from the Maine State Lottery, Adam Foster of Rochester, New Hampshire, scored a whopping $1 million from a ticket he purchased at Hometown Gas & Grill in August 2024.
While the billion-dollar win was through the Mega Millions game, this latest win from the Lebanon store was done with the Instant Millions game, the state lottery said.
It's certainly not the first place to sell more than one big win.
A Southern California spot sold two Mega Millions winning tickets, according to news station KTLA 5. Meanwhile, CBS News reported that a Chicago liquor store has also sold multi-million dollar winning tickets twice.
Do you think a third time might be the charm for Hometown Gas & Grill? I wonder if more people might be inclined to make the road trip in the hopes that lightning luck will strike a third time.
