Below is a list of 61 restaurants that sadly ended their runs last year.

Maine Restaurants That Closed in 2025

Maine’s restaurant scene is always evolving. That can be exciting, seeing new places open up every month. And yet it also means that even the most familiar places don’t last forever.

Some of the eateries that closed in 2025 were around for decades, such as Susan’s Fish and Chips in Portland, which lasted 36 years, and Adams Street Pub in Biddeford, which reached the 40-year mark.

Others were newer, like Cafe Lewis in South Portland, which opened in 2021, or The Yahweh Cafe & Bakery in Bangor, which opened in late 2025.

Either way, their impact was felt on their respective fans and communities.

Let's take a look at the 60+ restaurants that closed their doors in 2025.
