2025 has come to a close, and with it, a handful of Maine restaurants.

Some of these places have been around for about a decade, while a few others have worked to make their mark in just the past few years.

Let's take a look at a few eateries that said goodbye in December.

What Maine Restaurants Closed in September 2025?

Interestingly, two of the five places mentioned in this article all opened for the first time in 2015.

One of those popular spots was Evenrood's, an American cuisine restaurant located in a former bank in Bangor.

In a Facebook post in September, Evenrood's owner shared the decision to close on December 31.

While there wasn't a specific reason given, thanks were given out to the people who impacted the journey of the restaurant.

Fun fact: Former Patriots player Julian Edelman made a stop at Evenrood's back in 2018.

Another spot that recently closed was Sagamore Hill Lounge in Portland.

According to its website, Sagamore Hill Lounge is "a neighborhood lounge paying tribute to the original Rough Rider, trust buster, and big stick carrier." That would be former President Theodore Roosevelt if you hadn't known.

The place opened in 2018, and the Facebook post sharing the news noted "life is taking us in a new direction."
