Couple Pleads for Help Finding Missing Wedding Ring on New Hampshire Golf Course
New England Weather Forecast
It's stereotypical New England around this time of the year, really, to flip back and forth between winter and spring weather.
Just over a week ago, Northern New England was slammed with anywhere from 6-18 inches from an April Nor'easter, yet over the weekend, temperatures were close to or into the 60s, depending on your location.
And, naturally, when you get such a huge fluctuation in temperature, especially going from a Nor'easter to spring temperatures just days apart, spring activities take front and center.
Like hitting the golf course for a round of 9 or 18 holes.
And that's what one Granite State man did on Sunday, April 14, when the weather was picture perfect. But what wasn't picture perfect was what he realized after his first few holes.
Cochecho Country Club, Dover, New Hampshire
Known as "the hidden gem of the New Hampshire seacoast," Cochecho Country Club in Dover, New Hampshire, is one of the more sought-after courses to play in Northern New England.
Having just celebrated its 100th birthday in 2023, Cochecho Country Club lists itself as "the only truly private club in the Greater Dover area," offering a championship 18-hole golf course, dining amenities, function facilities, a swimming pool, a driving range, swimming lessons for children -- you name it, Cochecho CC has it.
They also, unexpectedly, have a wedding ring laying somewhere between the clubhouse and the 4th hole, after Dover, New Hampshire, resident, Sara Sapochetti, made a plea for members to be on the lookout for her husband's wedding band in The (un)Official City of Dover, NH page on Facebook.
While the ring hasn't been found yet as of this writing, within no time, members of the Facebook group with either tee times booked for today or that are friends or family members of grounds crew at the country club mentioned they would pass the word, as well as offering up metal detectors and even suggesting a business called The Ring Finders of Maine.
If you happen to shoot around at Cochecho Country Club today or within the next few days, be on the lookout for the missing wedding band, and if you find it, leave it with the pro shop or reach out on the original post in The (un)Official City of Dover, NH group on Facebook.
