Would you let a robot give you a manicure? For $10 I sure would.

Clockwork is the brainchild of Renuka Apte, a co-founder of this company. You sit in front of a boxy machine and a video screen shows Renuka who tells you what to do. Mostly relax and stay still. It gives you a countdown, and then a little nozzle comes down and starts to paint your nails!

Does this nail-painting robot in Boston, Mass really work?

It sure does! People are loving it! One review (of many) on the Clockwork website says,

I'm a huge fan of Clockwork! I like to always have my nails painted, but I'm often short on time and too impatient to sit through a full manicure. Clockwork is fast, easy and the location near my office makes it the perfect solution for a quick nail glow up! Julia C.

The new Clockwork fully autonomous robot on High Street in Boston can paint your nails in 10 minutes for $10 and you don't have to leave a tip. A manicure can cost $20 plus a tip and take 3 times as long.

Would you let a robot paint your nails?

Renuka says that the reason they decided to jump into the nail service, is because it's such a huge market. Plus, people would feel okay letting a robot paint their nails as opposed to a facial or anything involving lasers. Yes, lasers and robots do seem like a scary mix.

Could Maine soon see a robot manicurist?

Absolutely. Convenience is the biggest point of Clockwork. They are trying to set up where you already are, like at airports and office buildings. If they are in Boston, it won't take long to hop, skip, and jump to Maine.

The real question is - will you use it?
