Did you miss the Portland Greek Festival? Worry not, and head to Saco's starting this Friday.

Nothing is better than Greek food. Greeks show love through food, and there is so much love at the Greek Festival in Saco. Last year was the first time they had been in person in years because of the pandemic. The big tent is all set, and once again, the food, music, and dancing will take place at the gorgeous St. Demetrios Orthodox Church in Saco.

All the food is cooked by serious Greek cooks who know their way around a kitchen! Save the dates of Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 from 11-9, and Sunday from 11-3. There's free admission and parking, and credit/debit cards are accepted.

There's Greek music, dancing, an area just for the kiddos, church tours (it's beautiful), and more! Opa!

All your favorites will be served, including dolmathes, spanakopita ("spa-nah-KOH-pee-tah"), pastitsio ("pas-TEET-sio"), souvlaki, and more Greek desserts than you'll know what to do with! They even have hot dogs for those who are dragged there against their will.

According to St. Demetrios Orthodox Church:

By God’s grace, our parish continues to grow, and we are blessed with a thriving and diverse community: from very young children to valued elders, coming from many different cultural backgrounds, many of whom were born into the Faith while many others found it later in life, and every year our Greek Festival welcomes thousands of visitors from near and far. We believe that God is doing good things here, and we are blessed to be a part of it.
