NOW PLAYING: Mainer Obsessed With True Crime Writes and Performs One-Woman Show
Like a lot of Mainers, Lynne McGhee got hooked on true crime during the pandemic.
Unlike most Mainers, she took that passion and wrote a multi-media play called Killer Comfort, now playing through August 30 at the Foot Lights Theater in Falmouth, Maine.
Who is this Mainer, Lynn McGhee?
Lynne is a professional actress and singer who has spent the last 35 years performing throughout New York, Maine, and New England. She’s produced and performed cabaret shows at The Eastland Park Hotel as The Broadway Cabaret in Portland, as well as several NYC clubs. She’s also done film and television, both locally and nationally. She even worked as a morning DJ ,too. That's how I met this incredibly creative and funny lady. She lives in Harpswell with her husband, son, and spoiled dog.
Learn how NOT to get murdered with this amazing comedy, Killer Comfort
Lynne wrote Killer Comfort during the pandemic, when she realized her true crime addiction was shared with most of her friends. It’s part class (who can’t benefit from learning how to escape zip ties?), part personal stories no one believes are real (they are), and part investigation into why it is we are obsessed with true crime. Using multi-media photographs and videos (yes there is a tap-dancing homicide detective in one of them), Lynne hopes you leave laughing and entertained!
Lynne's obsession makes for the perfect night out. As summer wraps up, so does the run of Killer Comfort. Grab tickets today for one of the last Friday night shows in Falmouth, Maine, at the Foot Lights Theater on Route One. Get tickets HERE.
