Pat’s Pizza Closing Decades-Old Location in Maine
There are a handful of restaurant chains across the state of Maine that feel familiar.
That familiarity comes from them seemingly being everywhere. From larger cities in Maine to smaller towns.
One of those familiar restaurant chains is Pat's Pizza. What started as a place for University of Maine students to grab a slice has turned into a statewide institution over the last half-century.
As its popularity grew, so did demand which led to more Pat's Pizza locations spreading across the state. At its height, there were 15 locations statewide.
But as business goes, sometimes there can be too much of a good thing. And one of the oldest Pat's Pizza shops in Maine is about to close permanently.

After more than 30 years in operation, the Pat's Pizza in Milo, Maine, has announced it will close permanently.
According to WMTW, no specific reason was given as to why the Pat's Pizza would be closing for good other than to say the decision was not made lightly.
The building at 20 Park Street in Milo that has housed Pat's Pizza for decades will be repurposed for a different use.
Pat's Pizza in Milo will have their final day in operation on January 31.
