Southern Maine will be getting a lot more fun starting in May.

Wonder Mountain Fun Park in Wells is expecting to open for the season starting on Saturday, May 4. The news is a welcome sign for Mainers and tourists alike. It's another reminder that summer is around the corner.

Wonder Mountain Fun Park is a multipurpose facility featuring some seriously fun-looking attractions.

The park is highlighted by the miniature golf, which seems to be the true focal point. The fun park includes two full courses, one named Mountain Mayhem and the other Nautical Nightmare (points for the alliteration). The courses have numerous water features, utilize the "Mountain," and are well-known for being family-friendly.

Wonder Mountain Fun Park also features a sweet go-kart track, human maze, and arcade. That's quite the diverse group of activities. There's definitely a little something for everyone. However, I do have questions about the human maze. I assume everyone has made it out, right? I feel like I would probably struggle in there.

Wonder Mountain Fun Park is just one of many mini golf joints opening for the season. Early May is a pretty standard opening time, especially in Southern Maine. And as well all know here, the better weather attracts those tourists.

Wonder Mountain Fun Park's site has a complete calendar of events, with current hours of operation, and attraction pricing. You can find it all here.

I must admit, this is a course I haven't played. As I said in a previous article, my goal is to play all the ones I haven't. It seems we are ready to line up some tee times. I look forward to conquering the "Mountain."
