White Castle Has Finally Opened in New England (Sort Of)
One of the most popular fast food chains in America is White Castle. The chain operates about 350 restaurants across 13 states with continued plans for expansion.
White Castle is known for a couple of things specifically. Their restaurants are typically dressed up in a white castle motif.
They're also known for their sliders, which was called the "most influential burger of all-time" by Time Magazine.
Despite all of that praise and interest from consumers, White Castle has remained primarily in the midwest. Their closest locations to New England exist in New York and New Jersey.
Until now.
White Castle Opens Slider Kiosk at Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts
It's not adorned in the classic castle motif but it does have hot sliders.
In a unique twist, the first "location" for White Castle in New England isn't a real location at all. Instead, it's a kiosk located at Terminal A inside Logan Airport.
The White Castle kiosk doesn't have employees. And yet, it serves up hot White Castle sliders to hungry customers.
According to Kiosk Marketplace, the kiosk itself is an innovation of sorts since it has the ability to "cook" sliders on demand. White Castle has also opened slider kiosks in other airports across the country.
White Castle Continues to Consider New England For Further Expansion
Consider the White Castle kiosks to be a small sample test. Do people in New England have an interest and a taste for the iconic sliders?
White Castle has continued a gradual expansion over the last couple of years with New England being of interest to the company. It seems like only a matter of time before the first official White Castle will open in the region.
