2025 Poll: This NH Restaurant Chosen 'Best Of' in 7 Categories

If I had never been to this restaurant, I would not have believed that it is THAT good in so many categories. But, I'm happy to say, I practically live there and it IS that good. The hype is REAL.

It doesn't hurt that I live about a mile from this place. Sometimes, when the weather is nice, I walk to and from the place, which makes me feel better for EATING MY FACE OFF.

According to NH Magazine's annual poll, Tuckaway Tavern and Butchery in Raymond, New Hampshire is the best in the state in 7 categories.

On Monday's and Tuesdays, they offer 2 for 1 on lobster rolls

We can't find another place that even comes close to their meat

This might be the only thing on the menu that I haven't tried yet. I'm stuck on the tips

It's huge. It will satisfy even the biggest of appetites. (as with anything on the menu)

The parking lot will illustrate that most every day they are open.

Bobby Marcotte, the chef at the Tuckaway has become famous in these parts. He's been on TV several times with Guy Fieri. He has also been requested to cater celebrity birthday parties like the incredible Wynonna Judd.

Like any successful business, it comes with hard work. Bobby is all over the place, all the time. He has several other places that need his attention including the Hop & Grind in Durham and the newest wedding venue, The Barn at Merry Hill in Nottingham.

Their Facebook post said they were going to celebrate in a big way? What does that mean, Bobby? Usually the customers reap the benefits. When Bobby is happy, steak tips go on sale, usually. YEEEHAW!
