What is in the water in this Massachusetts town?

All four of these super famous celebrities come from Newton, Massachusetts which was recently named the richest city in the entire Commonwealth.

We have a TV anchor turned podcaster and three super famous actors.  Here they are, in no particular order:

Dan Harris

More and more people are discovering Dan from his incredibly successful podcast, 10% Happier, but he was an ABC broadcaster for many years.  Born in Newton, Massachusetts, according to ilovenewton.com, Dan is now concentrating 100% on his self-help endeavors after the TV days.  I am a big fan of his podcast.

Matt Leblanc

Everybody's friend, Joey, a/k/a Matt Leblanc was born in Newton, Massachusetts, according to the IMDB.  Joey, I mean, Matt, has won a bunch of Emmy's for being on the hit TV show, Friends that ran from 1994 - 2004.

B. J. Novak

One of two major stars on the hit TV show, The Office, was born in Newton, Massachusetts.  There were others that were born in Massachusetts like, Steve Carell (Michael Scott)  was born in Concord, Mass and Mindy Kaling, (Kelly) was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. But for this writing, we are focusing on stars born specifically in Newton.

John Krasinski

No matter how many movies he does, part of John Krasinski will always be "Jim from The Office."  John has starred in many movies since the Office days like, "A Quiet Place," "A Quiet Place 2," and "Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan."

Newton Named Richest Town in Massachusetts

Do you know what the median household income is in Newton?  Just over $176K.

The best part about the income in Newton is the average for a male resident is about $138K.  For a female, it's $101K.  That tells me that a wicked rich woman lives in Newton.  Maybe Anna Davis, the Vice-Chair of New Balance?  She and her husband Jim have a buck or two.

You can check out the other rich cities and towns of each state here.
