Eversource is proposing a rate hike that would cost NH customers about $260 more per year.

Eversource Asking for 17% Increase
Another reason for the ask is the same reason that everyone is raising prices, inflation.
Last year, the Public Utilities Commission approved a "temporary" increase of about $7 per month. If approved, this increase for the average customer would be about $12 per month.
The PUC will hear testimony today, but it's doubtful that they will reach an agreement, but if they do, rate hikes could take affect as early as August 1, 2025.
