Everyone in New England has a favorite grocery store. We get comfortable with where everything is, we know exactly where to park and sometimes, we get to know the employees.
Statspanda has claimed to "rank the foot traffic, site visits and Google trend data" to show what grocery stores dominate in each state in the U.S. Wal-Mart, Target and Costco have been disqualified.
Massachusetts
Stop & Shop is their favorite grocery store, according to statspanda Instagram account. There are 117 locations in Massachusetts, according to their website.
Massachusetts is a little surprising given the fact that Market Basket headquarters is in Tewksbury.

New Hampshire
It's no surprise to me that New Hampshire's favorite grocery store is Market Basket. Any time you go, except maybe very early in the morning just after they open or late at night just before they close, the place is always packed.
There are 90 Market Basket locations throughout New England, according to their website.
One thing to point out with this survey is, to my knowledge, there are no Stop & Shop locations in Maine. Hannaford headquarters is located in Scarborough, so I'm not sure how Stop & Shop became the favorite in the 207.
I used to be loyal to one particular grocery store, but then I discovered the prices were so much better at another store. Sure, I had to travel a bit longer to get there, but it was worth it because I knew I was getting "more for my dollar."
