At some point in my life, I heard a guy tell me that if you are going to live in New Hampshire, you should live in Portsmouth.  I'm not sure I completely agree with that statement, however, I DO agree that Portsmouth would make a fine setting for a Hallmark movie.  Others also agree.

According to the actionnetwork.com, Portsmouth is the city in New Hampshire most likely to be a Hallmark movie.

Portsmouth, New Hampshire is Gorgeous and Just Getting Prettier

If you are not familiar with Portsmouth, it is a gorgeous city that has, in recent years, exploded in population and entertainment.  The addition of Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club has elevated the town to attract people from all over the Country.  That doesn't even include the Music Hall, which has long been an attraction for people from all over the place.

The restaurants and shops in Portsmouth will satisfy any snobby shopper or diner.  (I mean "snobby" in the best possible way.)  If you are looking for local shops with cool gifts, clothes, jewelry, toys and so much more, Portsmouth has all the shops you need and want.

The Restaurants are also fabulous in Portsmouth.  I was just talking to my friend Stephen and his in-laws are coming up from Boston to meet he and his husband for dinner and asked me for recommendations.  There are so many to choose from in Portsmouth, but I told him, as I would tell anyone, my go-to restaurant is Surf.  Chef Michael Buckley never disappoints. Mind you, this is only one of the fabulous restaurants in Portsmouth.

If you need any other recommendations for where to stay, shop, eat, etc., hit me up.  I'll be happy to brag about our little hamlet.
