The Best New Hampshire Fried Clam Shack That Locals Can’t Stop Talking About
This clam stand has been in business for about 77 years, according to their sign that says, "Since 1948." Some say they have the best fried clams in the entire world.
Ceal's Clam Stand in Seabrook, New Hampshire is a no-nonsense fried clam shack located just beyond the crazy-ness that is the Hampton Beach Boulevard, right on the corner at 54 River Street.
This Seabrook Clam Shack Has Become Tradition for Locals and Tourists Alike
Parking is pretty easy at Ceal's unless it's super busy, which does happen from time to time. But before long, you should be able to find parking spot right out front.
Ceal's has been owned by the women of Debbie Henderson Banbury's family for four generations, according to WMUR. The property was purchased so that Debbie's grandmother, Cecelia Littlefield, wouldn't ever have to rely on a man to support her. (I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!)
Alison Tirone, Debbie's daughter has also spent every summer at Ceal's. Last summer was particularly hard for the women, as one of the Matriarchs of the family, Florence Henderson, Debbie's Mother, died in 2023.
Debbie said that her Mother used to thank her mother every day that they are able to live the life the shack has allowed them to live.

There Will Be No 5th Generation
Alison told WMUR's Chronicle that there will not be a 5th generation for Ceal's. I shudder to think what will happen after Alison retires. I choose not to think of that - instead, I'll see you at the beach for many more years to come.
