It's no secret that we have a loud and proud foodie population here in New England, and with good reason. Our restaurant industry is killing it, and there's never a shortage of new establishments opening their doors to the public. You can never run out of places to visit for your next dining experience, especially in Massachusetts.

The only thing better than a restaurant with excellent cuisine is one that gives you the most bang for your buck. These places are known for their "cheap eats", and when you walk in, you know you'll enjoy a hearty meal at a price you can afford.

Cheapism.com, a website specializing in "saving money, time, and sanity" (we could all use help with that, right?), has shared the best cheap restaurants in every state. These 50 popular establishments were selected based on customer reviews from TripAdvisor, Yelp, and other sources. Cheapism guarantees that each of these locations have meal options totaling $15 or under, prior to tax and tip.

So what's the best cheap restaurant in Massachusetts? That title went to an establishment known for having some of the best Mexican food in the nation: El Sarape.

Located on Commercial Street in Braintree, El Sarape has proudly served "authentic Mexican food for over 25 years." Their menu features a wide variety of entrees freshly made from scratch. Care for some small bites to start off?

Cheapism isn't the only website to recognize the deliciousness at El Sarape. They explained that Travel + Leisure and The Daily Meal have also shared positive feedback on the restaurant's amazing eats and prices, which is further validation that the place is worth the hype.

How about you? Have you visited El Sarape? What are your thoughts? Reach out and let us know.
