Last Friday night, February 28, I was celebrating my birthday the best way I knew: board games, beers with friends, and my favorite meal in New Hampshire...

The crispy buffalo chicken calzone from Jitto's Super Steak (drool - seriously it's the GOAT).

My wife and I had friends over, and most were drinking, so we decided to Door Dash everyone's order. It arrived in 30 minutes - PERFECT.

But it was not.

As my driver, Isaac, started to pull down my street, we realized we were missing a box. My wife's individual gluten-free pizza. So she would not get to eat...not letting that happen!

I ran down the driveway and asked Isaac if he grabbed it and left it in the car - negative. Isaac said something along the lines of the box was not there, he asked if that was everything, or something - aka he did everything he should have done to complete the order.

But then, as I was in the middle of asking him what I should do, he said that he would go back. I knew this was not his issue. I knew he had other orders to take care of.

I said no no no. We will re-order or figure something else out - it was a kind offer but it was not really his mistake to fix. Nor was it Jitto's per se - just a classic accident!

As we were waiting for the oven to pre-heat to toss in a frozen GF pizza for my wife, we had a knock on our back window.

Everyone gasped - and my wife certainly jumped. It was late - we were SPOOKED to see a man peeking into the house. It was Isaac...just good ole Isaac.

Isaac went back anyway. The pizza was hot - it was likely NOT sitting out the whole time. He went way above and beyond.

Many will say that it was his job or his mistake to fix - I disagree. He could have easily blamed the restaurant, gotten us a refund, and moved on. But he did not.

I want to publicly thank Isaac for what he did. It may seem small...but not to me. My gluten-free wife gets neglected too often at restaurants, family parties, and other social gatherings...but not on Isaac's watch.

Also shout out to Door Dash refunding the GF pizza immediately.

Please share this so that Isaac can get some recognition from the company...he deserves it in my book.
