New Hampshire has so many great ski mountains, which attract people from all over the country.

One of the local favorites is definitely Gunstock Mountain, because it offers great trails in the winter and hiking and camping in the summer.  There's so much to do in the area, just a few miles from Lake Winnipesaukee.

There's good news out of Gilford, New Hampshire, as Gunstock Mountain Resort has announced the approval of a $4.8 million capital expense plan.

The plan includes widening the Derringer train and extending the Upper Ramrod trail, expanding the snowmaking to Upper Ram Rod and Hot Shot trails, and improving and expanding the outdoor dining deck at the Stockade Lodge to better accommodate guests during the summer months.

There are also plans to build a new Welcome Center for Nordic ski fans and campers.  This will allow easier check-in and access for both and added retail space.

Camping is a big deal at Gunstock Mountain Resort in the summer, and a great family affair with so much to do in the area.  The renovations will not compromise the summer camping experience this year, so plan to camp per usual.
