When Is Murphy's Taproom in Manchester, New Hampshire, Closing?

Muphy's Taproom noted in the Facebook post that the Manchester place would close at the end of October.

The owner invited people to come one last time for one last hurrah at the spot: "If our Manchester restaurant was ever a part of your life, please make it a point to come in one last time to say goodbye. All of our draft beer is being marked down to $5 per glass until we sell out. We will continue to run a full food menu until the doors are locked."

The Irish restaurant and taproom, which had opened all the way back in April 2007, was a popular spot, so it's no surprise that there was an outpouring of response to the news.

Sharing Memories of Murphy's Taproom in Manchester, New Hampshire

Hundreds of comments and reactions were shared on the Facebook post announcing the closure.

One was a heartfelt comment from the owner's daughter: "Every day for the past 15 years, I’ve watched my dad put his time and commitment into this restaurant. I remember being 7 when he taught me how to roll silverware for the first time. I remember playing hide and seek and making my dad carry me around the restaurant on his shoulders. The taproom holds such a special place in my heart forever, and I couldn’t ask for a better dad or environment to grow up in. I learned so much from this place, and really saw how he fell in love with the restaurant business. Thank you Murphy’s for the great memories and thank you dad everything you’ve done for me & taught me over the years."

Others included patrons of the place, remarking on their memories of the good times:

"There were six of us that spent countless hours there every Sunday for years to get on and be in the 'mug club.' I’ll always remember the 1/2 price apps, cheap beers, and laughs on Sunday afternoons."

"My wife and my first date was there, and I proposed to her there at the same table."

And of course, people shared in the sadness that it was the end of an era.
