We're a little less than halfway through 2026, and sadly, there have been multiple New Hampshire restaurants that have closed down.

You've got longstanding seasonal icons, recognizable chains, and some restaurants that have had a few years under their belt.

Let's take a look at these 14 Granite State places and reflect on the food, memories, and moments at each.

New Hampshire Restaurants Closing 2026

Going all the way back to the start of the year, the Fox Run Mall in Newington, New Hampshire, ended its tenure, and with that, the remaining food court locations.

The mall had a number of food establishments over the years, you might remember. Can you recall the double-decker Burger King? Or what about Shorty's?

As for the final places serving up one last meal before the end of an era, that was Sarku Japan and Roman Delight Pizza. It's wild to think that the pizza place was around for nearly 40 years at the mall.

A more recent closure of a longstanding popular spot was Clam Haven in Derry. This seasonal joint has been around for over 70 years, serving up seafood, burgers, onion rings, and ice cream.

Interestingly, while Clam Haven's chapter was ending, Deadproof Pizza was taking over the Rockingham Road place in April and just getting things started there.

When one door closes, another opens, right?

Here are some of the. New Hampshire places that have closed so far this year.

It is nice to see that while a few of the places on the list may have ended their respective chapters, there is some new life and new directions for some.

Like T-Bones moving to its new location near the Walmart in Hudson. Or like Old School Bar and Grill rebranding and relaunching as Becks Public House in Windham. Or even Yellow Bell Cafe getting word just a few months after closure that new ownership was bringing it back with a bit of a revamp.

Yes, losing the restaurants, no matter how long they've been around, can feel personal, especially when they become part of the community. But the good news is that New Hampshire’s food scene never stays still for long.

So while it's worth taking a moment to remember those places we got to eat at over the years, there are others still telling their stories or even just getting theirs started.
