7 Things About New Hampshire You Need to Know Before You Move to the Granite State

New Hampshire is one of the most beautiful places in the entire U.S.  I might be a little biased because I've lived here my whole life. You get everything here in the Granite State. The White Mountains are gorgeous here and if you are more of a beach person, we have 18 sweet miles of coastline for you to visit.  If you love the lake, we have an entire Lakes Region just for you.  It's lovely.

Before you decide to move to the 603, please be aware of a few things before you pack up your Honda Fit and head to New England.

New England Winters Can Be Brutal, So Make Sure You're Prepared

The Winter in New England is brutal.  You can't move here and think that the snow will always be like it is in a snow globe, it will not.  Snow sometimes comes with freezing rain and sometimes doesn't stop for days.  Make sure you have everything you need like, a back up heat source, shovels and non perishable food in the pantry.

NH Does Not Require Adults Over 18 to Wear a Helmet

If you own a motorcycle in NH, you don't have to wear a helmet if you are over 18, but I can't tell you how silly I think that is.  If you are cruisin' down the highway at 70 miles an hour on your motorcycle without a helmet, there is nothing to protect your head if you hit the pavement.  Nothing.  Wear a helmet.  It's not that expensive and it could very well save your life.  Love, Your Mama.
