Catch A Free Outdoor Showing Of The Goonies At New London’s 100th Hospital Days Celebration

New London Hospital Days returns July 30th through August 1st, celebrating an incredible 100 years of bringing families, neighbors, and visitors together for one unforgettable weekend. It's one of those classic New Hampshire events that proves some traditions only get better with time.

If you're looking for something fun to do with the kids or simply want to soak up some small-town charm, there's no shortage of activities. Throughout the weekend, you'll find midway rides, live music, local vendors, a pancake breakfast, a petting zoo, Touch-A-Truck, children's activities, and the 100th Annual Hospital Days Parade, themed "A Century of Celebration."

One event that immediately made me gasp? A free outdoor showing of The Goonies on Thursday night (a.k.a tonight!). According to the event organizers, families are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs, making it the perfect excuse to kick back under the stars and enjoy a classic movie together.

Honestly, outdoor movie nights always seem to create the best summer memories.

The organizers say Hospital Days has spent the last century bringing communities together in support of New London Hospital while celebrating everything that makes the Lake Sunapee region so special.

According to their website, "Due to the inclement weather, Movie Night Presented by Cushman Lumber, will now be held at Whipple Hall. Due to the indoor location, space is limited to the first 90 attendees. Some chairs will be available, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets, and refreshments."
