This writer has said it time and time again, but when you're going on vacation, your choice of lodgings can be the cherry on top of a perfect getaway.

That's part of why Airbnb is so awesome. Instead of cookie-cutter hotels, their website gives you the opportunity to find all sorts of unique and unusual stays that will make your trip especially memorable.

Take, for instance, this cozy mini-house in Pownal, Vermont.

Known as Owl Hill House, this unique space is unlike anything we've ever seen before. It was created by sculptors in the '80s before being recently renovated, and its unusual design resembles a place you'd read about in a storybook. Here's more of what the superhost, Mark, had to say about the property.

Its 570 square feet interior is bright, airy and cozy with hand-plastered, sculptural, white walls and custom built-in furniture. It is...the perfect base for exploring northern Berkshire County's cultural gems and southern Vermont’s picturesque towns and natural beauty, or to just relax and leave the rectilinear world behind.

The interior boasts a seating area, sleeping nook, kitchen, bathroom, and a washer and dryer. It's certainly small, but for the minimalists at heart, Owl Hill House could be the perfect place to stay. The Airbnb has 4.99/5 stars at the time of this writing, so it's clear that others agree.

So what are we waiting for? Let's look inside, shall we?
