Sometimes the location and experience of a restaurant is more important than the actual food. For example, a lot of people go to Hibachi for the experience, not because they love Japanese cuisine.

And going to sit in unique places justifies a trip. For example, when the Goat in Portsmouth, NH opened up as a pop up Christmas bar, people were travelling from all over New England just to sit in the magic.

Well, one coffee shop in Chatham, Massachusetts may be worth the trip to the Cape, because their Cacao Factory and Coffee Shop location is pretty neat.

Three Fins, Coffeehouse and Chocolate Factory, Chatham, Massachusetts

Obviously a coffeehouse that doubles as a chocolate factory is worth the drive; however, the floor of this coffeehouse is super unique too.

It is a swimming pool...well, and old swimming pool. But it still has the tile, signage, and other things that you would expect.

There is something cozy about stepping down into a floor to drink a coffee. That is why sunken living rooms were really popular from the 1950s to the 1970s - they were cozy. It feels like a separate room.

Check out Three Fins' website for more information on their coffee, chocolate, and their two locations; however, the "pool" location is located at 251 Crowell Road, Chatham, MA 02653.
