Big-Time Fun Happens With the U.S. Navy Band in Portsmouth, New Hampshire
It's a special Veteran's Night at Prescott Park in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and you are invited.
If you've never heard the United States Navy Band, it's a real treat. They play music from the 1960's right up to current top hits, featuring music by The Eagles, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, and more.
The summer has been one big celebration for the Prescott Park Arts Council, as they celebrate 50 years of music and theater on the waterfront park. There have been exceptional performances all season long, with the US Navy Band being open and free to the public.
There's no opening act, so plan to be at the park by 7pm sharp on Monday, August 19, for this fun event for the entire family.
This performance is American Sign Language-supported, with front-center lawn spots "reserved for Deaf and hard-of-hearing patrons giving them a direct line of sight to the interpreters", according to PPAF Facebook page.
There will also be a special section for veterans and military personnel and their families, so they are recognized as well.
The band will perform rain or shine, but if it does rain, watch the Facebook page for instructions. If the performance goes inside, it will be at the Portsmouth Music Hall, which works in conjunction with the PPAF.
It truly is a community event for the Seacoast.
The Green Beret Foundation, and Navy Seal Foundation will be on-site as well, in support of our warriors and veterans. That's 7pm on Monday, August 19, at Prescott Park. See you there.
