
There’s a New Harborside Restaurant Coming to Portsmouth, New Hampshire
The past few months have seemed a bit volatile for the restaurant and bar scene in New Hampshire.

But with closings, come new openings. And there is a new restaurant coming to Portsmouth, New Hampshire that has the entire community excited.
What is Whale and Walrus Replacing in Portsmouth, New Hampshire?
The Striker restaurant, on the corner of Bow and Ceres St in Portsmouth, NH, served the community for 47 years.
The Striker was a staple for generations. Unfortunately many restaurants, including the Striker - the popular live music and seafood joint - could not survive the Covid-19 pandemic.
They officially closed their doors back in 2021.
New Restaurants in Portsmouth, New Hampshire:
Since the Striker closed in 2021, the building has been vacant...and it is PRIME real estate.
The corner of Bow and Ceres in Portsmouth, NH is probably the busiest corner in the city in the summertime. This is due to its location overlooking the Piscatiqua River and the "Old Harbor."
According to a Facebook Post on the official Portsmouth, NH Facebook page, "plans have been filed" for a new restaurant to open in the space.
The restaurant is a tribute to the seacoast with the name "Whale and Walrus."
Maybe because last year a whale breached and CRUSHED a boat in the Piscaiqua RIver...
