Massachusetts RMV Inspection, Online Services Closed Saturday

If your Saturday plans included a car inspection in Massachusetts or taking care of some Registry of Motor Vehicles business online you'll have to wait.

The agency has suspended all transactions all day Saturday through at least Sunday morning as its systems migrate to a new infrastructure platform. The suspension began at 1 a.m. Saturday and is scheduled to end at noon on Sunday

That means no vehicle inspections, web transactions, myRMV online transactions, and no online access to the RMV system will be available for about 35 hours.

“We apologize to customers who are inconvenienced and encourage the public to take advantage of transaction opportunities and vehicle inspections at another time," Registrar Colleen Ogilvie said in a statement.
