If you're craving a hamburger, you've got a bunch of places throughout New Hampshire you could hit up to satisfy that hunger.

Chowhound has even named the Tuckaway in Raymond as serving up the best burger in the state.

But if you're looking for a unique spin on the classic meal, there's one spot in the Granite State that'll make you do a double-take when you see its black buns. Wednesday Addams, Batman and Darth Vader would likely approve.

BAD BRGR in Manchester, New Hampshire, Serves Up Black Bun Burgers

In Manchester, you'll find BAD BRGR, a restaurant that was "birthed within the chaos of COVID 2020," according to its website.

This Granite State spot serves up smashed burgers. The restaurant even states that they are "made with fresh beef and daily handpicked produce – fresher than the Fresh Prince himself."

And while the burgers and fries look delish (one Yelp review said it was the "best burger and fries we have ever had"), it's the Black Burger that has an extra visual pop on the menu.

The Black Burger is a hamburger that comes with cheese, black garlic/truffle mayo, pickles, onions, and Dandido Black hot sauce, all on a black brioche bun.

And it is amazing looking. A real feast for the eyes (and stomach.)

A Yelp review about the delicious option said: "May be the best burger I ever had. This place was recommended by a server at another restaurant. Ordered the black burger and OMG! was it delicious."

On the New Hampshire Eats Facebook page, someone reviewed the black burger saying, "These are some of the best smash burgers I've ever had. Thin and crispy yet still juicy and tender. I like that they dice the toppings so you get little chunks in each bite."

It's definitely a burger you'll want to take a picture of before you devour it.

Where is BAD BRGR located?

BAD BRGR opened its new location at 1015 Elm Street in 2024, a space previously occupied by Bond Brewing and BBQ, according to Manchester Information.

The restaurant is even expanding with another spot at the Mall of New Hampshire in October 2025.

BAD BRGR is bringing not only great burgers to the Granite State but also providing a special option that's as fun to look at as it is to eat. Not that Wednesday likes to have fun... but maybe for this burger of darkness?
