One New Positive COVID-19 Case at Dover Nursing Facility
One new positive case of COVID-19 was identified at St. Ann Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Dover, bringing the total number of cases associated with the facility to 29, a Catholic Charities NH spokesperson told Seacoast Current on Friday. Catholic Charities NH owns and operates St. Ann.
The new case is a resident at the facility, according to St. Ann's website.
The spokesperson told Seacoast Current on Monday that five residents and four staff members at the long-term care facility had tested positive in just the previous two days. Four days after that announcement, just one more positive case, announced Friday, was identified.
New Hampshire health officials had reported 15 cases at the facility as of November 5, but that number nearly doubled over the following weekend, according to data released by the spokesperson.
All residents and family members had been notified, the spokesperson said, and the facility will be conducting weekly testing until no positive tests come back in a 14-day span.
As of November 5, approximately 81.5% of deaths related to COVID-19 in New Hampshire have been attributed to long-term care settings, according to state health officials. There have been no known deaths associated with the outbreak at St. Ann.
