Portsmouth Man Arrested Twice, Charged With Statutory Rape
A Portsmouth man was arrested twice over the weekend on numerous charges including statutory rape, according to Portsmouth police.
Brandon Siegel, 21, faces a combined nine charges including two counts of sexual assault/statutory rape, three counts of simple assault, criminal solicitation, criminal mischief, breach of bail and stalking.
Police said Siegel was first arrested Friday when he turned himself in on a local warrant for the assault and statutory rape charges. He was later released on bail and allegedly threw a rock through the window of a vehicle on Saturday, according to police. Siegel was then arrested a second time and charged with criminal mischief, stalking and breach of bail.
Siegel was held at Rockingham County Jail and was scheduled for a virtual arraignment on Monday.
