It's always worth the drive if you're all about gigantic, mouthwatering, hand-crafted delectable sandwiches dripping with fresh ingredients. You may have to drive a bit further starting this spring, but that's okay, because road trip-worthy food is something we can all get behind, right?
It's called The Modern Butcher, and these sandwich geniuses will be hanging out in their Newburyport, Massachusetts, location until spring. According to The Modern Butcher Facebook page, those at the business are heartbroken to leave their beloved Newburyport location after three years, but they actually outgrew their locations within the first year. Wow, that's saying something when most eateries have trouble making it through the first couple of years.
Hey, with that many gigantic sandwiches constantly in the works, I'm not surprised, because these jaw-dropping, fresh, raised meat sandwiches are famous. You'll need several napkins to enjoy.
So what lucky town will they now grace with their gigantic sandwich presence? That would be about 30 minutes south in Danvers, Massachusetts, at 36 Maple Street. But don't go there yet, as their Newburyport location at 226 Merrimac Street is still open into springtime.
The Danvers location gives the shop the ability to ramp up production and offer a wider array of sandwiches, including specialty items. Once we found our new location, we both vowed to each other that we would continue to search for a new smaller Newburyport location.
I know you're salivating with the various pictures, and your stomach may just be growling as well, so you definitely know what I mean when I say that The Modern Butcher is road trip-worthy.
