Roger’s Restaurant In Dover Re-Opens After COVID-19 Case
Roger's Restaurant and Pizza in Dover has re-opened after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
In a post to Facebook, the restaurant said it planned to open its doors on Tuesday for the first time since closing over the weekend.
Writing in the post, the restaurant said it took "all safety and sanitary measures" to heart before re-opening.
We have taken all safety and sanitary measures to reopen and now gathering our staff who return negative results. So far everyone is clear! We look forward to serving you again very soon!
Thank you again to all our loyal customers!
In the original post announcing the positive test, which coincided with the restaurants temporary closure beginning Sunday, Roger's Restaurant and Pizza said it had initially planned to re-open on Monday if all necessary testing went as planned.
Still, the eatery got the green light eventually, albeit just one day later.
Here's an excerpt from the original post announcing the closure:
Roger's Pizza will be closed through Sunday December 27th. Unfortunately one of our coworkers tested positive for covid and we are in the sanitation process and requiring all other staff to be tested before reopening. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers. Safety of our staff and customers is our number one priority. We'd like to thank everyone for the continued support and well wishes and prayers we've received thus far.
