The Smoothie Bus in Manchester, New Hampshire, Is Closing Its Doors After 7 Years
How much do you love smoothies?
Unfortunately, for New Hampshire, there will be one less location where you can snag the delicious fruity beverage.
The Smoothie Bus announced on Facebook on February 10, 2025, that it would be closing for good after seven years in business.

According to the Concord Monitor, a used ice cream truck became the first iteration of The Smoothie Bus in 2018, selling 10 flavors of smoothies at farmers' markets and other locations in the state.
Things took off quickly from there, as The Smoothie Bus' website highlights its journey of expansion to more buses, an actual store in Manchester and then later Concord.
Of course, the pandemic in 2020 affected businesses across New Hampshire, including The Smoothie Bus. The Concord Monitor reported that the Concord location would close, and the Manchester location would be moved to a more visible spot.
There would also be a spot in Merrimack that would open in 2023.
Not surprisingly, the newspaper notes The Smoothie Bus having to deal with things like staff shortages and rising costs during its run.
The Smoothie Bus' closing announcement doesn't list the reasons for the close, but it wouldn't be surprising if some of those previously mentioned struggles contributed to the decision.

As for what the Facebook post announcing the closure does reveal? A lot of thanks and appreciation.
Owners Josh and Sonya expressed their gratitude and thanks to the community, the customers and the workers over the years.
"Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for making The Smoothie Bus such a special part of our lives. You will all be deeply missed, but this isn’t goodbye—it’s see you down the road on our next adventure."
Interestingly, they leave the door open for someone else to take up the Smoothie Bar mantle, saying in the Facebook post, "We know The Smoothie Bus still has so much potential. If anyone is interested in continuing this journey, we would love to pass the torch to someone who shares the same passion for delicious, healthy drinks and community connection."
Will someone take them up on it? Will The Smoothie Bus get new life down the road for a Version 2.0?
