Strawbery Banke's annual candlelight stroll under the stars in Portsmouth will take place exclusively outdoors this year, according to the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth.

The event, which generally takes place both outside the museum grounds and inside the historic buildings, will be held only outdoors due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The holiday event is scheduled to take place from December 11-13 and 18-20 this year.

Per a flyer from Strawbery Banke that was shared by the collaborative, the event will feature the historic houses decorated with handmade wreaths and roping to go along with costumed individuals recreating "the traditions of times past," the flyer said.

Outdoor ice skating will also take place from December through March and during the stroll at Puddle Duck Pond. Daily skating, skate rentals, lessons and more will be offered.

Individuals can also sponsor a tree to further decorate the landscape. Those who do sponsor a tree, which must be done by November 11, can personally decorate it and an accompanying sign that will be displayed alongside the tree.
